Christmas Plant Pick

Perusing Pinterest the other day I came across some super easy, super cute Christmas tree shaped plant picks that you can use for gifting plants.

Ack! Isn't this adorable?

When I saw this project, it dawned on me that the Fun Stampers Journey Pennant Fun dies would be perfect for it!

I cut the largest triangle from the set and stamped it with this pretty winter scene from the Winter Wonderland set. After stamping, I made score lines at every half inch and folded the triangle like an accordion.

When you have your triangle completely folded, use the Press Punch to create the center hole to weave a bamboo skewer through. I decorated my pick with a snowflake die from the Journey Blooms Holiday Set, a Black & White Button and Journey Twine and Thread.

This pick sure makes my non-blooming orchid much cuter!

Pinterest Inspired

Good day! Susan Stringfellow and I have a Pinterest inspired project to share with you today on the Scraptastic Club blog.

Here's a little look see at my project. I hope you have a bit of time to check out our projects and play along this week.

If you missed my last Scraptastic Club post I created a simple card and gift tag set for one of my favorite natural beauty products, Good Soap.

The patterned papers and stamps from the May 2015 Janglin' kit were perfect for this project! You can view that post here

Pinterest Inspired

What did we do before Pinterest?!?! Today on the Bella Blvd. blog a few of the designers used this  beautiful citrus colored image to inspire our projects.

Taking cue from the color scheme I created this card with a focus on Bella Blvd's lovely Crochet Hearts.

Reminds me of my rainbow sorbet which sounds good about now!

Focusing on the same colors, making green the more prominent color, I came up with this second card design.

What would you create with this image in mind? I'm tempted to make that lovely paper chain background! It's so fun! To see what my talented teammates created, click here.

Inspired By

This morning while drinking my coffee and perusing Pinterest I found this card design using metallic card stock and dry embossing. It inspired me to run up to the craft room and create this card.

I love the texture and look of foil!

You know what else I love? This tweet bird! He's my favorite Chips accent in Pebbles' Yours Truly collection.

As I mentioned the other day, I'm addicted to conversation hearts lately...here's another.

How about the dimension? This is the reason the hubs has to pick up some more 3M Foam Mounting Tape at Target today...no card is complete without it!

Like? I like. It was fun to do a little playing this morning! Thanks for the inspiration Linda!

I'm going to go work on my Project Life album now. I'm still awaiting a new printer head, but I'm going to work on the rest and add the photos later so I don't get too far behind.

Have a great weekend!

Pin-spired Cards

How was your Christmas? Did you get any crafty supplies from Santa? Maybe you will have a little extra time between now and New Year's Eve to spend some playing in your craft room?

Over at Bella Blvd. we were given the following Pinterest photo to inspire our next assignment.

Isn't this image gorgeous? It's fun to replace letters in a word with a object or symbol...there's always a lot of room for creativity in doing so.

I was reminded of this Bella Blvd. phrase card that uses a peace symbol for the 'o' in joy.

With the many circles in the card I went with a circular theme using buttons and this background die cut.

What I love most about this card is the color combination! These are some seriously cheerful colors!

For my next card I decided to use the word noel from the photo and replace the 'o' with an ornament and snowflake combination.

Both cards were created with Bella Blvd's Christmas Countdown collection and have a completely different look and feel to them. I like that kind of versatility in a line!

The ornament and doily die cuts are from Top Dog Dies. They too are versatile...I've used them for so many projects this season.

To see the what my teammates created with this Pinterest photo, head over to Bella Blvd. to have a look.

Happy craftin'!

Christmas Eve

I've been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately! Those of you who follow my boards have probably seen my oodles of daily pins! Now that the presents are wrapped, the cookies are baked and the cards have been sent, I'm enjoying some down time which includes pinning!

This morning I saw this pin and it inspired me to run up to my craft room and create this snowy card for you.

I love to emboss Kraft paper and then swipe a white ink pad across the design to make it pop.

I also love burlap and rusty jingle bells!

The patterned papers I created the die cut snowflakes from is from Pebbles' Front Porch collection which happens to be 30% off at Scrapbook.com.

Ooh la la...texture and tones from nature with a pop of red! Right up my crafty alley!

So the pin that inspired this card lead me to an absolutely fabulous blog called Place of my Taste. Go check it out...you will be so glad you did!

Have a lovely Christmas Eve!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today's the big day and there's a pretty good chance you'll here the phrase, "Please pass the turkey!" :) Recently I made these Pinsterest inspired cards knowing I would be sharing them with you today on Thanksgiving.

Both cards are created with one of my all time favorite Bella Blvd. lines...Thankful. These warm colors and playful patterns are so easy and fun to work with!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving day! Thank you for being a part of this blog of mine! I really enjoy sharing my work with you week after week...half the fun of creating is sharing!

Cheers!
