Trick or Treat

I have a spooky fun Halloween card to share with you today that includes a couple mixed media elements...paint and Silk splatters.

I feel an addiction coming on...

...mixed media! I'm in love with the look of a brush stroke or two of paint as a backdrop along with some Silk splatters.

How about you? Have you given mixed media a try?

Trick or Treat

Ready for fall? It's officially arriving this week. This past weekend was a lovely send off to summer...bright and sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Dan and I enjoyed a weekend together, just the two of us. We went out to dinner and on a vintage junk hunt at the flea market Saturday. Such a wonderful, memorable last summer weekend!

Looking ahead we have the beauty of fall and the holidays to look forward to...which means I'll have a lot of projects like this Halloween card to share with you.

This spooky black cat and eerie bats are part of the Which Witch die set.

The 'boo' paper is from the Treat Time Prints paper pad.

I tried the new Journey Gold splash for the background. It leaves a really pretty sparkly finish that's hard to capture in my photos.

Finishing touches included Black Licorice Journey Twine, sequins and a bit of Bright Day Journey Tape. Oh and a quick Ink Splat stamp. Love that stamp...I use it a lot!

Well, here's to a wonderful autumn! Enjoy!

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween! Today's shaping up to be a sweet one since I've already eaten a dark chocolate covered marshmallow before 11:00 a.m! Because Christopher doesn't trick or treat anymore, I always buy him a couple candies from Whole Foods and I just had to sample the marshmallows I bought him this morning! ;)

Today at Bella Blvd. we have a Sketch Friday card for you to try and I made mine with the Halloween Magic collection to celebrate the day.

I love this patterned paper full of kiddos dressed in costume! Bella Blvd. always has the cutest little spooks! Just look at this mummy boy grinning from ear to ear with his pumpkin full of treats! Too too cute!

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat

Good day!

Yes, you read the title of my post right! I have skipped spring and summer all together and headed into fall and Halloween! Just for this post, okay? Spring is my favorite season and I wouldn't want to miss a single day!

Doodlebug Designs 'Monster Mania' collection is perfect for creating super adorable Halloween crafts!!!

Have you seen cuter monsters? I added google eyes to make these little dudes even more fun!

A colorful phrase die cut accented with a limeade button and attached to the card with adhesive foam tape finishes if off.

All products are Doodlebug except the google eyes that came from my local craft supply store.

Okay, back to spring! ;) We had an 80+ degree day here yesterday and expect the same today! It sure feels like spring, or late spring. I  hope signs of spring are showing up in your neck of the woods. Enjoy!

Trick or Treat

Hi!

No tricks...just a crafty card treat for you this Friday! :)

I'm at it again, playing with the Bella Blvd. 'Too Cute to Spook' collection. Havin' a spook-tacular good time!

I love this sticker with the creepy little houses! In my stash I have some of these fun little plastic ghosts that's perfect to creep out this neighborhood just a little more! I used some small straight pins to make the little flags. I've been using toothpicks, but for this card, I needed something a bit smaller.

What do you think of this little bat? Fun little addition I think!

So, what kind of plans do you have for the weekend. I have the typical mix of errands, crafts and relaxing planned. Oh, and just maybe I'll get a goody box at the door? New supplies to play with? That would make the weekend pretty cool! We'll see. I hope you have an enjoyable weekend!

Kathy :)
