Giving Thanks

How about Thanksgiving card share today? This one has pretty leaves and acorns...created with Fun Stampers Journey Grateful Heart and Thanksgiving Medley stamp sets. 

I added a few splatters of Silk to the background. I love how they allow me to add just a touch of color! 

Look at the green leaf....aren't the details fabulous?!?! The die actually cuts the veins of the leaves making them looks so real! I'm going to have to use that die more!

Grateful Heart

T.G.I.F! It's the first weekend of fall. I hope to plant some mums in our planters at the front door, go apple picking one of these weekends and enjoy watching the leaves change color. How about you? 

This season I'll also be doing a lot of crafting...making cards like this one I made yesterday with the new Grateful Heart stamps from Fun Stampers Journey. 

I really like the uppercase, lowercase, print and cursive typography of this stamp, don't you? 

I wish I had a die for every single stamp I have, but since I don't, I used a Journey Ovals die and then stamped that leaf trio with the Autumn Time set. I think the addition of the leaves makes sentiment fit better in the oval. 

Speaking of dies, one of my favorite is the Doily! Doilies are perfect so many themes and great for layering and with a die you can make them any color you want! To attach mine, I wrapped it around the card base and then used ribbon to attach it. 

Behind that doily I stamped a couple more leaves...also from the Autumn Time stamp set. And then topped it all off with a few buttons. 

To the bow I added a bit of twine and one of the new Mini Jingles. The brass color makes it fitting for autumn projects! 

Now that the card is finished, I'm thinking place cards in this style would make a lovely Thanksgiving table decoration! I'd better get busy! ;)
