Round Feathers?

T.G.I.F! I've been gravitating towards circles lately and had an idea to take Bella Blvd's feathers and run them though my die cutter to make them round. It worked!

You can get several size circles from each feather. Please note: keep a trash can at the ready and and turn off the overhead ceiling fan when cutting your feathers...you could have tiny bits of feathers wafting about the room and find them in your hair hours later! ;)

I also used the new Snapshots collection along with two different size High-Five alphas to create my card. I adore all the little house icons in this line...making it perfect for welcome home cards.

I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Thanks so much for your visit!

Cards on Thursday

It's a Bella Blvd. Cards on Thursday kind of day! And a bright and sunny day too! I'm lovin' it and I've been dying to show off my first couple cards using newly released CHA product from Bella Blvd!

This first card was created with the Love and Marriage collection and one of the gorgeous new Feathers. What do you think of this line? Ooh la la, right?!?!

This card was created with the new Engaged at Last collection. And another yummy feather! What do you think of the new feathers? If you enjoy texture and dimension, they are a must have!

Before I go I should let you know I have a My Mind's Eye 'My Girl' creation up on the Card Annex blog for you too! Lots of goodies today, huh? ;)

Enjoy!

Sand & Surf

Hello!

Brrr...I just got back from walking Christopher to the school bus stop and it's freezing out! Makes me dream of sunny beaches, warm breezes and swaying palm trees!

I created my first project yesterday with Bella Blvd's brand new Sand and Surf collection and used one of their colorful new Feathers. I've never worked with real feathers before so it was fun and I had to experiment with attaching them. This time I used a dab of Quick-Dry Adhesive glue from 3M on the bottom underside of the feather shaft. Then I stitched the strip of wave patterned paper over it.

Wouldn't it be fun to take off to some tropical place right now? Where would you go? There's so many possibilities, aren't there? I'd pick Bora Bora...where hubs and I honeymooned nearly 21 years ago.

Hope you have a lovely day! Thanks for your visit! :)

Feathers?

Let the happy dancing continue!

Today I'm super excited to share the news that Bella Blvd. has added a brand new embellishment...Feathers!

Feathers in 18 fabulous colors! Whoa! I've never used feathers on my paper craft projects so this is going to be a lot of fun! How about you, do you have any experience crafting with feathers? What are your favorite colors?

For more information and some awesome project samples, hop over to the Bella Blvd. blog.

Thanks for dropping by! Hope your Monday goes swell! :)
