Date Night

Yesterday I really enjoyed starting my day off with a bit of crafting so I decided to do the same this morning. It really gets my creative juices flowing and prepares me for my day of design team work.

This card was made with one of my all time favorite collections...Chickaniddy's Date Night. I love the color palette and that it includes all the accents you need to make beautifully layered and embellished cards.

While I was assembling this card, I couldn't help but think of my hubs. We schedule regular date nights and I believe it's one of the reasons we are so close after 23 years of marriage. How about you? Any date nights in the near future? Maybe today's the day to plan one!

Hello Love

Hello! Today I have a lovey-dovy card share for you that I created with an old favorite, Date Night from Chickaniddy. Can you see why this collection is one to dig up and use again? Great colors fun accents and patterned papers. And I adore that little dancing couple!!!

Another thing I love, and one that's real trendy right now, is the foil paper. Just a little shimmer makes such a pretty touch!

Hello

Hello! I have a card share for you today that I created with both Chickaniddy's Date Night and Twirly Girl collections and this month's card sketch. This is the third sketch of Pam's that I've worked with and I must say she makes it so easy to create gorgeous cards just by following them as is.

Supplies: Paper (DN140S06; DN140S11; TG140S08) Clear Stamps (DN14ST01) Stickers (DN14EB02; TG14EB02) Brads (TG14EB06)

Can you tell which papers and accents are from which collection? If I hadn't made the card myself, I wouldn't be able to tell...everything works together seamlessly.

Mom

Hello Chickaniddy fans! I have a Mother's Day card share that I created with both the Date Night and Twirly Girl collections.

Supplies: Paper (DN140S05; TG140S07; TG140S08) Silver Foil Paper (CN14SP002) Mini Sticker Banners (DN14EB03) Stickers (TG14EB02) Brads (TG14EB06)

I couldn't resist using this image of a girl on the phone for my greeting since those of us who live far from our moms call them on Mother's Day.

One of my favorite things about both the Date Night and Twirly girl collections are the sheets of paper with printed images and sentiments.  A crafty little secret of mine is to cut these sheets up entirely before I begin a project so I can easily mix, match and play with them.

Another thing I love about Chickaniddy are the accents! Here I've mixed the Foil Paper, Brads and Alphabet Stickers to create a textured sentiment.

Hope all you moms enjoyed your day!

You + Me

Oh how I love the Chickaniddy Date Night collection, let me count the ways! I could make dozens and dozens of cards with this line and not run out of ideas! However, when my creative mojo takes a leave of absence, using a sketch helps to get me back on track.

Each month Chickaniddy will feature a card sketch that one designer will 'use', another will 'tweak' and a third will 'change it.' Today I'm the 'change it' gal.

Supplies: Paper (DN140S04; DN140S05; DN140S06; DN140S08; DN140S11) Silver Foil Paper (CN14SP002) Stickers (DN14EB03; DN14EB05)  Enamel Hearts (DN14EB07) Brads (DN14EB06)

For my 'You + Me' card I adopted the hearts and pennants theme but arranged it the way I wanted using lots of pretty Date Night patterns and colors. And the gorgeous foil paper...a favorite of mine!

I Love You Card

Hi! I'm super excited to share with you my very first Chickaniddy project using the beautiful Date Night collection.

Supplies: Paper (DN140S04; DN140S05; DN140S06; DN140S07; DN140S11) Silver Foil Paper (CN14SP002) Stickers (DN14EB02) Enamel Hearts (DN14EB07)

The hubs and I will be celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary this April and one of the things that has kept our relationship strong over the years is having regular date nights! This collection is perfect for preserving those memories and for one of my favorite crafts, card making!

One of my favorite patterned papers in the Date Night collection is Dance Party. I adore all those cute couples and the ladies' colorful dresses!

Another Chickaniddy item I can't resist is the Silver Foil paper! Ooh la la is it ever beautiful!

To create die cut accents that use more than one die, I arrange the dies on a magnetic sheet so stay in place. Once I have my dies set up the way I want, I adhere a piece of washi over them so I can easily transfer them to my die cut machine.

When layering lots of die cuts I use foam mounting tape to adhere each piece which gives the layers dimension.

I hope you enjoyed the card.
