Metal Tree & Challenge

Yes, that's right! My husband and I spotted this life size metal tree outside the Raleigh Art Museum a few weeks ago.

The tree was quite a sight, but appropriate for the museum grounds. I love the field of wheat it was surrounded by. By the time we took this photo, the bird who was perched in it flew off. Wonder what he thought of the tree? Can you imagine happening across this tree if you were a woodpecker?

Supplies:

Card Stock:  Bazzill Basics

Patterned Paper:  Creative Imaginations
Cream Dot Card Stock:  Jenni Bowlin

Die Cut Machine:  Silhouette

Cat's Eye Ink:  Colorbox

Stamp Ink:  Ranger Industries

Felt Photo Corners:  Fancy Pants
Button:  Jenni Bowlin

Nutmeg Thickers:  American Crafts

Tinsel Thickers (30% off):  American Crafts
Embossing Folder:  Cuttlebug

Don't forget about the current challenge going on! Create a card or scrapbook page with the latest Digital Doodles 'Little Lamb' stamp. It's just .99 cents at Two Peas in a Bucket and this is the prize up for grabs for the card with the best overall appearance and creative design.

The contest is open until next Monday, midnight eastern time. Use the inlikz button below to enter. Good luck and leave me a comment if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by today! :) Kathy

What a totally cool tree sculpture - wonder if it goes rusty and intends to look more like bark as the years pass?
Anyways, I love your creation and the idea of a woodpecker having a go on this tree LOL!

Aimes

You made me smile with your woodpecker comment, Kathy! I could just picture that. Too bad the birdie flew away before you guys could get the photo snapped, but what a cool picture that is anyway. Makes me want to go check that thing out.
Love the wheat goodies you added to this. They are so perfect with this. Like the mixed font title work, too.
