There's no Business like Snow Business!

There sure is a lot of snow going around so I'll start today's blog post with some snowy themed scrapbook pages I created.

Here's my son waiting for dad to take the picture so he can push the sled! This design is based on a page from the amazingly talented Susan Weinroth. I was thrilled that these patterned papers and the card stock I used for my die cut snowflakes all came from my stash! Thrilled because that bucket is about to take over my office! Seriously, I should take a picture!

This next page was from the same day. Too much fun sledding and making a snowman!

I love that my son used those spiked seed pod things from our sweet gum tree for the eyes, nose and mouth! An all natural snowman complete with stick arms! All that remains of our snowy friend is one snowball on the lawn. :( But that's what pictures and pages are for, right? To keep memories and Mr. Snowman alive!

During these cold winter days, I've been able to do a lot of crafting. Not only keeping up on my scrapbooking, but making lots of cards as well. The new fun line I've been playing with is Letterbox from American Crafts. I just love the color palette of these papers and embellishments.

Once again I've relied on my Silhouette to make my card crafting creative! I cut the fancy green rectangle and the blue oval with it. Even though the letter stickers go perfectly with these Letterbox papers, they are not part of the line. They are actually from a very old SEI line called Paisley & Petals! Remember that?

This is the last craft project I'll show you today. Isn't this little bird darling? He's part of the Letterbox line. And you guessed it, another Silhouette die cut! Have I said how much I love my Silhouette? Yes, about two dozen times! ;)

Before I close today's post, I want to give a shout out to my friend Laura Davis and her amazing food blog called Delicious. Last night for dinner we had her clam chowder and it was sensational! Perfect for these bitter cold days!

I'm not a bad cook, but I'm not really that great a cook either. I tend to use a lot more convenience foods that are quick and easy. Lately, however, I've really wanted to spend a little more time and make things from scratch. Laura is helping to show me (us) that it isn't that difficult or time consuming. Thanks a million Laura! By the way, I stole Laura's photo because lighting was terrible at dinner last night.

What a long post! Thanks for dropping in today. Hope you've enjoyed my crafty shares. Now go visit Delicious and drool over the amazing recipes and photos!

Awww, your pages and cards are just fabulous today, my friend! Love all those snowy pages you've created already! and the cards are so sweet. I really do like those fun letter stickers, and the silhouette shapes are gorgeous.
And I can definitely say first hand how delicious the soup was! I asked Pete if he liked clam chowder, and I didn't get much of an answer. seems perhaps my kiddos have never had it, so I need to rectify that!
