Some Digital Shares

Happy Saturday! Here we are with another summer weekend stretched out in front of us with the possibility for fun and adventure. Or a quiet relaxing few days to hang out with family, perhaps you will sneak away to your scrap room like I have and get a little crafting on?

I have a couple of digital project to share with you today. This first project is a hybrid card created with an adorable new digital kit at Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Party Monkey Mini Digital Kit' by Holly Brooke Jones. I love the fun colors, patterns and accents.

If you click on this card you will get a larger shot that shows the detailing a little better. I cut a second banner out and added it to the card for texture. I also added Glossy Accents to the cake and adhesive pearls to the present.

This all digital page was created with another new kit from Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Everyday' by Scrap Originals. The beautiful colors and elements made for an elegant page for some of the sculpture photos my husband and I took at the Raleigh Museum of Art.

Sweet Summertime

Wowza! The 'Sweet Summertime' line is so colorful and fun to work with! I've had it for a couple of weeks now, sitting on one of my craft tables and I couldn't wait to have a crack at it!  Here are a couple cards I made.

With this first card I used the kit's paper packaging that was printed with the various papers it included. It was just to cute to throw out and I'm all about reducing, reusing and recycling whenever possible! I added the oval die cut and a couple strips of colorful 'Paper Frills' from my stash that Doodlebug manufactured some time ago. Otherwise, everything was included in the kit.

This shade of green is my favorite! Lime! So pretty and cheerful! I added the flip flops and the little rubber flower that's another stash item from Ki Memories. Fun to use up some of my older goodies! The blue scalloped border on this card was also from the kit's package.

It's Digital Doodles Tuesday!

How was your Fourth of July weekend? Did you do anything special? See some family and friends? We did our traditional Fourth of July which is to have a couple friends and family over and have American style picnic foods such as potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob and watermelon slices. We were going to have fried chicken...our grocery store makes the best, but they ran out and were in the middle of making more so I settled for a rotisserie bird instead. Not much of a sacrifice there. It was all so good including the Gilligan's Island cocktails! If you ever need a drink recipe in a pinch...www.drinkmixer.com!

Well, today's Digital Doodles Tuesday is a bit different because I don't have a new release since I was on vacation the week before last. Digital Two Ways & Flutter Bug Stamp Winner

Hello! Hope your week is going well and that you have some fun plans coming up for the Fourth of July weekend! :)

I have a couple of digital projects to show you. Two very different scrapbook pages. In this first page I use digital papers to create a traditional paper layout. Printing and using digital papers and/or elements on a paper page is called hybrid scrapbooking.

I've really gotten into hybrd scrapbooking, even though I love traditional paper pages and adore buying scrapbook supplies, because it gives me more options. I can store tons of papers and embellishments in files on my computer that take up zero physical space in my scrapbook room! Plus, I only print the things I need.

This 'July 4th' page is made with patterned papers from a brand new digital kit at Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Stars & Stripes'by Tricia Chapman. I love the bright colors, polka dots, stars and stripes!

This next scrapbook page is all digital!

If time is in limited supply, you might want to try digital scrapbooking because it's so much faster than traditional scrapbooking. I created this page with another new Two Peas in a Bucket kit called 'Bazinga Mini Kit' by Shimelle Laine.

So which is your favorite? The hybrid page or digital page? Do you prefer one over the other? I like the first page. I just love the dimension you get with paper pages!
