Happy Birthday

Hi! :)

I have a birthday card share for you! :) Last night I was working with some adorable new papers from The Girls' Paperie, their new Kitch line. I LOVE these papers! I'll need to buy a second set because I am so smitten with them!

Just look at these paper colors and patterns! (sigh)

And how about the crochet flowers? I just got those in the mail yesterday from a fabulous site on Etsy called Sunshine Stitches. I'll be a regular at that shop! :)

I added my usual inked edges, hand stitching and buttons. :)

The sentiment is a Pebbles Inc rub on and the stacked flower buttons are Pebbles as well. I made the little butterfly pin with an old Paper Shapers punch and a sewing pin.

Well, I'm off. Always lots to do. Never a dull moment, right? I have packages for the post office, weeds to pull in the yard, a couple fabulous new Two Peas in a Bucket digital kits to make projects for. The list goes on, but you get the idea. The old list probably looks a like like yours! Hope it's a great day for you! :) Kathy

Baby

Hello! Looks like Monday has rolled around once again! It has a way of doing that doesn't it? Ha!

To liven up Monday just a tad, I have a hybrid card share for you!

My adorable focal point pram is from one of the latest digital kits at Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Organic Baby'by Vinnie Pearce.

I used a few Spellbindersdie cuts to show off that adorable little baby buggy.

I thought the new Crate Paper collection, 'Emma's Shoppe'would work perfectly with the Organic baby kit. These pretty patterned papers and the little lady die cut are from Emma's Shoppe.

Additionally, I used some Papertrey Ink stamps, stamp inkfor the paper edges, buttons, lace and hand stitching. This was a fun card to create!

So what's on your Monday agenda? I was supposed to have a photo shoot this morning, but that's been postponed due to cloudy skies. It's supposed to burn off so maybe my photo shoot will happen this afternoon. Anyway, just working and craftin' today. It's awesome to be able to do what you love!

I hope this day is good to you. Enjoy! :) Kathy

Sew Grateful

Happy Saturday! Happy Weekend!

Boy am I tired today after a couple thunder storms rolled through in the middle of the night! I mostly enjoy thunder storms, the way they seem to pop up out of no where and bring a good down pour and a dramatic show. In the middle of the night...I'm not so enamored with them! ;)

Anyway, I have a couple of projects to share with you this fine day! This first one is a hybrid card I made from a new digital kit called 'Delilah Paper Pack'by Tickled Pink Studio. Oh how lovely and colorful these papers are!

What's not to love about this color combination and whimsical prints?

I'm so excited about my Copic work on this card! I'm still so new to these markers and struggle with them. The image and sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps.

To go along with the sewing themed sentiment, I added a couple straight pins, some stitched buttons and a die cut swatch of faux fabric.

This next project should look a wee bit familiar if you saw my last post. I took the card I made and used it as an embellishment for this hybrid scrapbook page.

Oh yum! This page is making me crave cookies! Doesn't take a lot for me to want sweets! ;)

I used the same digital kit for this page as I did the matching card, 'What's Cookin'by Jen Martikis of Two Peas in a Bucket. I really like all the word art included in this kit!

This page isn't just about dessert and a stack of yummy baked cookies, I wrote about our recent changes and attitude towards food. We used to buy a lot of convenience foods to save time, but now we're starting to appreciate cooking from scratch and healthier eating.

Well, I hope you all have a terrific weekend. We're in for a couple more thunderstorms, otherwise pretty fair weather. And can you believe the forecast for Monday calls for temperatures close to 90! Wow! I think we'll be utilizing the air conditioner!

What's Cookin?

Hey! How are you this fine Friday? TGIF!
Any fun weekend plans you want to share? I think I'll be doing some vintage treasure hunting this weekend. My best gal pal mentioned that she and her mum would like to go on an outing Saturday. One of my local antique shops is having a parking lot event with lots of vendors on Sunday. Fun!

Anyway, today I have a brand new digital kit to tell you about and a hybrid card I made with it.

Appropriately named 'What's Cookin'is this fabulous new and colorful kit by Jen Martakis of Two Peas in a Bucket.

This kit is stuffed with lots of adorable elements like the pot holder I used and even more fabulous word art!

I added some die cuts, black craft string and a fun red button. That's it! With this kit, it's super easy to create projects. I've got another on my desk...a scrapbook page about home cooking.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today! I appreciate your visit! Hope you have a splendid weekend! :) Kathy
