Advent Calendar

Ahhh...to be a kid at Christmas time! Remember visits to Santa Claus and the daily anticipation of the Advent calendar? Recently I created one of these calendars with a little metal mailbox tin and Doodlebug Design's Home for the Holidays collection.

Wrapped up in each paper roll is an activity, money or goody coupon! I can't wait until December 1st! It'll be great fun to see how excited Christopher is to open one of these each morning!

If you don't do Advent calendars or already have one, this tin could be used to deliver goodies to your neighbor or tucked under the tree with a special gift inside!

Hope you enjoyed today's project! T.G.I.F!

Crazy About Christmas

Last weekend I had the best time over at my pal Audrey's house crafting all these Christmas goodies. I know it's a bit on the early side since fall doesn't officially begin until next week, but when you have a lot of things to make for friends, family, teachers and an Etsy shop, it's never too soon to get going. In fact, Audrey and I are opening an Etsy shop together in a couple days so come back for the grand opening announcement and address to our new site!

You've Got Mail!

This was just too fun to make and turned out so very cute! Wouldn't it be perfect for a little girl's room, a place for mom and dad to leave a note or special little surprise? I've got this mailbox and another one that's decorated with flowers in my etsy shop at http://www.cardblanc.etsy.com/. Come on by and take a peek. I also stock the Berry Sweet card stock I used for this project for those of you who would like to make your own mailbox and other paper crafts.

A New Valentine Tradition

Start a new tradition this February with a Valentine mailbox. From February 1st through the 14th, set out a little mailbox each day and fill it with notes and goodies for your little ones. Imagine the excitement they will feel when they've got mail!

I made this mailbox with a plain red tin that I got from Target's Dollar Spot and decked it out with this gorgeous paper from Scenic Route. To further embellish it I tied this wide grosgrain bow around it and added some felt hearts to the flag and front door. Too fun! If interested, the mailbox photographed above is for sale in my Etsy shop at http://www.cardblanc.etsy.com/.

Love is in the Air

I've been working on stocking my Etsy shop with lots of fun Valentine goodies like this little mail box and matching greeting card. All the Christmas papers and accents have been stowed away and my desk is now overflowing with pink card stock, patterned papers covered in hearts, and lovely embellishments. Makes me yearn for box of chocolates! If you're also feeling love in the air and want to make some fun Valentine cards and crafts, come visit my Etsy shop at http://www.cardblanc.etsy.com/ for a fun array of Valentine embellishments, ribbons and ready made gifts. Enjoy!
