Congratulations

Hello! Today I have a couple congratulations cards to share with you created with SEI's May Cardmaking kit. These were posted on SEI Lifestyle last week and again here in case you missed seeing them. Tis the season for graduations and weddings so I created congrats cards for both occasions.

I love the combination of patterns and foiled details in these papers and the gorgeous flower brads included in this month's kit!

This congrats design could be used for a work promotion as well as a graduation card.

I created lots of die cut circles and then play with them until I liked the combination.

This week on SEI Lifestyle I have a fun and easy home decor project I created with this month's kit.

Here's a little peek for you. To see the entire project, click here.

You know, they are 'Your Crafty Friends,' the ones who are always knee deep in patterned paper, adhesives, and embellishments on Saturday night while you're out painting the town red. That's right, they have great ideas for decorating and can whip up the perfect handmade birthday card in not time! Well, now you can count on 'Your Crafty Friends' to create one of a kind cards, home decor items and gifts for you! Come on by and see us at http://www.yourcraftyfriends.etsy.com/ and if you make a purchase of $10 or more before the end of November, these gals will send you a free greeting card! Now that's worth spreading the news!

Getting Ready for the Holidays

When you craft or work in retail, you have to get ready for the holidays long before the summer temperatures start to cool down. It's been a lot of fun around here making Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas cards and decor. I'd like to show off a couple Christmas items I made this week that were a lot of fun. Perhaps they will inspire you to get started on some holiday crafts?

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Scrapbook paper isn't just for scrapbook pages and greeting cards anymore. Here's a fun way to use your patterned paper stash and make some great gifts or decor items for your home. I used some beautiful papers from K & Company's Wild Raspberry line for this project. If you don't have the time or you don't think you could make something like this, don't worry! Log onto http://www.cardblanc.etsy.com/ to purchase this mirror and many other fun decor items.

Patriotic Decor

I can't believe how fast June is flying by, can you? July Fourth is only about a week away and I just remembered to put out the few decorations we own. Last week I was inspired to make something to add to our decor when I saw a cute little pocket barn star on Two Peas in a Bucket. I thought it was so darling that I made a similar one for myself. You can make one too. If you scrapbook or make cards you probably have a bunch of red and blue papers in your stash along with a chipboard star and some buttons. All you need now is a paper star from the craft store and your good to go. Happy crafting!
