Card & Page Share

Hello peeps! Hope you are doing well this fine day! The sun is shining brightly and we're expecting a rather warm day for January. Sweet!

So, what was on your agenda yesterday? Anything happening today? I've been getting a ton of stuff done this weekend and making sure I relax a little too. Did some housekeeping yesterday and some craftin'. This morning I groomed the boys. Oh how they hate to have their nails trimmed and their long fur coats brushed. But when it's over...they looooovvveee it! Must feel good.

Okay, how about I share my latest card and scrapbook page?

This project was super fun to do and turned out so sweet! The beautiful floral heart is a digital sticker, new at Two Peas in a Bucket, called 'Blooming Heart Digital Sticker' by Holly Brooke Jones. Can you believe it's just .99 cents!

This floral heart is so pretty on it's own, I didn't want to do too much to it. I gave the image a pink card stock frame and hand stitched border, added a few adhesive pearls and a trio of Swarovski crystals.

Then I added a white satin bow and attached a little 'love' tag with a tiny heart stick pin.

I'm sure I'll be using this digital sticker again! It's just so pretty and easy to work with!

Now here's my scrapbook page...perfect for Kraft Journal's Challenge 4!

You might remember from a previous post that we had a few mice move into our attic? Well, we immediately set up a humane mouse trap in order to relocate the little beasts to a nearby field. Oh how cute the little things were! And here's a scrapbook page about them.

I used another digital kit from Two Peas in a Bucket called 'Brown Paper Bag - The Papers' by Polka Dot Pixels. I really love using Kraft stock and the papers in this kit are perfect for that.

The title, mouse and wheat were created with the Silhouette digital die cut machine. You can see I used some border punches, inked the edges and added stitching.

I also used a few Spellbinders dies to frame the title and journaling. I thought the little mouse brad would be adorable with a '2nd Chance' ticket! Ha! :)

Digital Heaven

Have you been to Two Peas in a Bucket  recently? WOW! They have got a ton of cool new products including over 75 new digital kits! Did I say WOW?! Okay, so you don't do digital. Why not? I'm not a digital person as far as end results go. I like putting things together with my own two hands and having texture and goodies on my projects. But digital is allowing me to have more accents and papers without taking up more space! I can print out just the papers and accents I need  for a project and that's so cool!

Anyway, let me share a couple hybrid cards I made last night using digital kits. These two cards are some of my favorites I've made lately, and guess what? They were quicker and easier than anything I've made in a while! This kit is perfect for those of you who have very little time to devote to crafting.

Isn't this card lovely?!?! All I had to do was make a pink card stock base. EASY! Print out this pretty design from a digital kit called Romance Me Elements 02 by Vinnie Pearce. EASY! Then I added the sentiment with chipboard letters and a felt flower and gems. Super EASY! I should keep my Staples 'Easy' button on my desk to punch every time I so something so easy my kid could do it! :)

Here's the second card. Another EASY one! For this hybrid card I used digital kit ATC Card Elements also by Vinnie Pearce. What's funny about this kit is that I've never made an ATC card, but that doesn't matter because this kit is PERFECT for greeting cards!

Now for something yummy! Next to crafting, I love to eat delicious food so it's no surprise I stop by my favorite food blog 'Delicious' for the latest recipes. Even though this sandwich sounds a bit odd, it's absolutely heavenly! It's a grilled Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich!!!! Can you say Y U M M Y?!?!

This sandwich is so simple to make, just like a grilled cheese! You can probably figure out what to put on this sandwich, but if you would like the step-by-step directions, just click on word 'Delicious' above and you will be directed to the recipe. I added one more ingredient to this heavenly dish....cinnamon. And if you care to add insult to injury, eat it like a French dip, but use maple syrup! :)

Okay, one last item I'd like to shout from my roof top because I'm so very excited about this opportunity! I've been working on a new project lately that includes drawing. I'm drawing digital stamps that will sell at Two Peas in a Bucket! How exciting is that!?!?! So exciting that one minute I'm on cloud nine and the next minute I'm a bundle of nerves! It's been a wonderfully emotional roller coaster! I'll let you know on my blog when the first stamps will be released, and if you're into the digital stamping/card making sort of thing, I'd love it if you would buy some and have fun playing! And guess what? They will sell for just .99 cents! Whoa! Can't beat that price, can you?

Off to the drawing board I go! Thanks for visiting my blog! Oh, and guess what? We're supposed to get some snow tonight!!!! Have I mentioned that I'm so ready for spring? Traditional, Digital or Hybrid?

What kind of scrapbooker are you? Have you caught the digital bug or do you like to roll up your sleeves and jump right into your paper, stamps and various accents and tools? Since I stared scrapbooking in 2003, I've dabbled in digital not really knowing it or thinking much about it. My very first page was of my three year old son painting. I took his painted hand and made an imprint on paper. When it was dry I scanned it and then imported it into Print Master so I could crop it  and copy it over and over to make patterned paper for my page. So you could say I've always been a hybrid scrapbooker.

I don't think I could ever completely leave behind the buttons, ribbon, chipboard and oodles of other embellishments that are so fun to play with. However, in recent times, I've incorporated more digital elements for my paper crafting to become a  more eco-friendly scrapper. If I can reduce the amount of stuff I have on my pages, the better for the environment. For example, lately I've been interested in doing more stamping on my greeting cards, but that would require a lot more product with all the stamps, inks, etc. Stamping is one area I can really see myself creating digitally.

Anyway, I thought I'd share a couple hybrid cards with you today. This first card I created using a fabulous digital kit called 'February' by Jen Martakis of Two Peas in a Bucket.

Isn't this loopy heart pattern adorable?!?! I love it! The little tag I attached with pop dots to give the card texture is a also from the kit and has a loopy frame. If you click on the picture you will get a larger image and can see these details better.

This next hybrid card is from a digital kit called 'This Year' also by Jen Martakis. She's oh so talented! Anyway, I really love the bright and happy colors of this kit. Makes it so you can use it for just about any project you can dream up!

This kit includes some colorful journaling blocks that I used as a frames for each letter of my sentiment. The alphabets are included too and I really like the subtle graph paper pattern they have.
