Practice Practice Practice

I'm constantly practicing my paper crafting skills! One of those skills is Fun Stampers Journey's Fusion Blending solution and re-inkers coloring system released last year with their 2015-2016 catalog.

When I first sat down to give them a try, I was terrible at it! I used way to much color on my brush which blurred the stamp lines and made streaks, but with continued practice this is what I can do today.

Additionally, I tried a brand new technique which was to die cut a shape or sentiment directly from my image and raise it...an area I need more practice in because you can't really read the sentiment. On the above photo I added a white layer of the die so you could see what I mean.

Next time I plan to use an image that has more white space which should make the sentiment stand out better.

There's so much fun in playing and learning new techniques! Sometimes you nail it, sometimes you miss. This was a bit of a miss, but I had so much fun with it, I thought I'd share anyway.

Love You

Wow, Valentine's Day is fast approaching! Do you have plans to do something special with your sweetie? Have you made any Valentine cards?

I recently received a few more of Fun Stampers Journey spring catalog supplies and had to spend a little time playing with them.

What do you think of this die cut sentiment from the Spring Celebrations set? I'm smitten!

Also brand new from the spring catalog I included some Spring Parade patterned Paper, another die from the Sweet Text Bubbles set, one of the adorable love bots and some yummy Spring Accent Dots. Oh what fun this was to create and I'm lovin' all the bright colors, how about you?

Scraptastic Club Project Share

Today I have a project to share with you on the Scraptastic Club blog!

Here's a bit of a peek for you. I hope this adorable little bunny gets you to hop over and have a look!

If you didn't catch my last Scraptastic Club post, here are the cards I created for that.

This card showcases a few of my kit faves...the We R Memory Keepers Alpha Block stickers, the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge fabric flowers and this gorgeous 'sunshine' wood sentiment! There's a lot to love about the Good Day Sunshine kit and add-on!

I'm also smitten with the little chick stamp I used for this next card. Perfect for Easter, baby congrats and so much more!

I colored the little chick with Copic markers and then I fussy cut him and his shell to add to these yummy paper layers. Yellow is such a sunshiny happy color, don't you think? Peep peep!

Happy Easter!

Invisibles

What do you think of Bella Blvd's new sheer plastic die cuts called Invisibles? I think they're absolutely awesome and I had a chance to play around with one the other day to create a card to share with you.

I love the large flower shaped Invisibles and cut the Amore heart printed one down for a background layer. Then I topped it with lots of  little accents..some are stickers from the Treasures & Text sheet and Trinkets, two others are Chipboard Icons and the two tiny enamel hearts are new DooDads accents. Oh and that pretty pink felt bow, ooh la la, is another new product called Bella Bows! So many fun new goodies to play with! I can't wait to create more for you!

It's a Scraptastic Day!

If you're looking for the PaperCrafts farewell blog hop, scroll down to the next post. :)

Even though the leaves have fallen and the Thanksgiving leftovers are long gone, you Scraptastic Club members probably have some bits and pieces of your Free Fallin' kit leftover, right? I do so I made some masculine style Valentine cards to share with you.

Isn't this one handsome fox?

Oh deer, the woodland critters and rich colors of the Free Fallin' kit make perfectly masculine cards, don't you think?
