DIY Paper Tassels

I love tassels, you love tassels, we all love tassels!!! Well, a lot of us love tassels so I'd like to show you how to make them with paper.

First pick out a few Fun Stampers Journey card stock colors you like. I picked Cool Pool, Buttercream and Oatmeal Cookie and cut six 8 1/2" x 1/4" strips of each color.

Once you have your strips cut, wrinkle them up into a ball.

Now straighten each strip of paper and line them up the best you can.

Once you have your strips lined up, wrap the center around a pencil.

While your paper is still wrapped around your pencil, wind some Natural Journey Twine around it as shown in the next photo.

There you have it. Now decorate a present or make several for a garland.

I attached mine to a Treat Box and included an embossed gift tag.

I love these colors...they make me want to tie a star fish to the package too!

Be Mine

One of my favorite things about Fun Stampers Journey stamps and dies are that every time I sit down to create with them, it leads to more ideas for my next project! I love that!

For this card it was the Border Details die that I used to make this unique background. I've made oodles of projects with this die set!

Thought these bots would look cute as a focal point.

What would you do with these dies?

Hugs & Kisses

Hello! I have a super duper simple Valentine card to share with you that I created with Fun Stampers Journey new Bot Love stamp set.

I also got out the paint brush to create the heart background. Just one stroke of the brush with some Sweet Berry paint was all that was needed.

Then I used some silver embossing powder to add the love bot.

A string for his balloon and a few sequins and that's it! I think this kind of project would be perfect for kiddos. They could make some great painted hearts!

You + Me

After a brief break from Valentine projects, I'm back with a new heart covered card to share with you. This one was inspired by a growing pile of scraps on my die cut table!

Often times I make die cuts only to change my mind on color, size or to go with something all together different. Those cuts then sit on my table where I can see them daily and hopefully think of a way to use it on another project.

This time it was the Cascading Hearts piece that was staring at me day after day. Isn't it a pretty die cut? It's new from Fun Stampers Journey and can be found in the spring catalog (listed below).

I was in an artsy frame of mind while creating this card and used Silk, a little Splash and embossing powder. I even added a straw to the mix. So fun!
