Ode to Polaroid

Do you remember your mom and dad taking Polaroid pictures of you when you were little? Wasn't it cool back then to have instant photos? I remember waving the pictures around, helping them to dry and watching them develop before my very eyes! Who knew we would all have digital and cell phone cameras one day and that we would still love the Polaroid?

Did you know you can still buy a Polaroid camera? They now come in bright colors and a more compact size. Polaroid is more popular than ever! If you type 'Polaroid' in the search window at Etsy you will find everything from vintage cameras and actual pictures to handmade magnets for your fridge and pendants that look like mini Polaroid photos! Polaroid pictures are showing up on patterned paper for scrapbooking and photographers are using giant Polaroid frames as photo shoot props.

The Polaroid photo prop craze gave me an idea...how about this adorable Bella Blvd. chipboard elephant posing with her own Polaroid frame? She looks lovely on a baby card, don't you think?

These colorful patterned papers are also Bella Blvd, all from the sweet new Baby Girl collection.

Doo-dads include a mini heart button from Dress-It-Up and baker's twine from Doodlebug Design. The Polaroid frame was made by using a square Spellbinders die, then I eyeballed the rest!

If you have a few spare moments, go check out all the fun Polaroid items at Etsy! There's some great stuff!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a terrific day!

Kathy :)
