Dreaming of Spring

I hope everyone had a great weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day! Even though my husband and I are not officially celebrating until today, when we get to spend some time without the kiddo, he brought home roses and mini cupcakes on Friday evening! So darn sweet! And yummy! Then on Sunday there was a little message in the paper from him. What a romantic he is! I'm so very lucky! I made a scrapbook page of these little goodies that I'll share on Wednesday. The flowers do not last long and the cupcakes have an even shorter shelf life, so I made sure to take pictures!

Not only did our Valentine's celebration get off to a great start, but a dear friend of mine came over Saturday for some shopping and crafting! With fresh fallen snow from the night before we were day dreaming of spring and went on a 'rabbit hunt' for spring and Easter decor! And after the first hour and a half of browsing, we had to stop for coffee and share a cookie. It was difficult work having to look at so many pretties, decide which to buy and all that standing on our feet! ;)

My friend and I made a pit stop at Archiver's on the way back home. Got a few fresh spring papers and accents to play with! Here's one of the cards I made after we got back.

The butterfly accent is one of my Archiver purchases. It's from a new Making Memories' spring line called Flutter. I love the set of mixed layer die cuts made of paper, canvas and felt. The set includes an assortment of pieces that allows you to mix and match and build your own accent. How fun is that?!?!

Oh, I can't forget to tell you about this week's sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You! What's a Monday without a 2 Sketches? This adorable bird house image is from our sponsor In Style Stamps.

Here's Kazan's sketch...very cool, huh? And above it is my card. I think I'm getting better with the Copic markers, don't you? They are fun to play with...learning how to do shading. Anyway...

My last crafty share for this post is a hybrid card I made using a gorgeous set of solid digital papers from Michelle Underwood called 'Beautiful Ending Solids.' You can find this kit at Two Peas in a Bucket along with the entire 'Beautiful Endings' line with gorgeous patterned papers and lots of coordinating elements.
