Merry Christmas!

Popping in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and share one last holiday project that you can create with an empty jelly jar and a few Fun Stampers Journey supplies.

After soaking my jar to remove the label I brushed it with a thin coat of Journey Glaze that I watered down a little. Then I sprinkled the jar with Journey Sparkle Cuts to give it a shimmery frosted appearance.

After a couple hours, when the jar was dry, I added the Holiday Trio Cord, Natural Journey Twine, a few Mini Jingles and mistletoe sprigs cut from the Journey Blooms Holiday Set dies.

Add a tea light and you have a festive, sparkly holiday decor piece.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas with your loved ones!

Candy Cane Ornament

Tomorrow's the big day! Will you be traveling today? Wrapping presents? Baking? Or maybe you'll be spending a little time getting crafty?

I'm always creating something and yesterday it was this candy cane ornament using Fun Stampers Journey supplies.

Want to make one too? All you need are a couple candy canes, the six Fun Stampers Journey supplies listed below and a glue gun. Just wrap canes in the cord using a dab of hot glue occasionally to keep cord in place. Then using a generous dab of hot glue, attach the canes together as shown. Finish ornament by tying a bow around the center and adding Mini Jingles with Natural Journey Twine. For a little extra pizzazz I added a die cut leaf sprig using the Journey Blooms Holiday Die set and Lemongrass card stock.

And there you have it...a simple, homespun ornament for your tree. Or make a few more for your neighbors. Enjoy!

Final additions include a little satin ribbon and a Star Frame that I rubbed on the silver ink pad and covered with more Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust.

Have you enjoyed all the holiday projects I've posted on the blog this week? I hope at least one of them has inspired you to get your craft on and create something fabulous this season.

Today I have a super simple project to share that will jazz up your holiday table.

With a little help from a few Fun Stampers Journey supplies, I turned these Susty Party wooden utensils and straws into colorful and snowy table decor.

Just a couple dies, card stock and wooden star buttons are all you need to take your table from everyday to holiday! For instructions on creating these dimensional stars, click here

Re-Purpose that Jar!

Hello crafty peeps! I have quick and easy holiday decor project for you today that's made with an empty spice bottle.

Don't discard that glass jar...with a few Fun Stampers Journey supplies, turn it into a pretty decor piece for the holidays.

I simply stamped a piece of Oatmeal Cookie card stock with the Newsprint image and then embossed the edges with Journey Gold embossing powder.

After adhering the paper to my bottle, I added a Glass Glitter star topped with Mini Jingles and a Natural Journey Twine bow.

I adopted a pretty white poinsettia at Whole Foods last week and accidentally broke one of the blooms on the way home...a special little vase just for it!

7 Days of Sparkle - Fun Stampers Journey Style

'Tis the season for adding sparkle to your projects so Richard Garay created the Seven Days of Sparkle video series (links below) to give you ideas for adding more shimmer and magic to your holiday crafts.

I had the honor of contributing a few projects for Richard's series such as the above tags that show one of the many ways you can use the new Tinsel Trim.  And the Santa's Message in a Bottle ornament below is a project idea for re-using your Glass Glitter jar when it's empty.

In one of the videos, Richard suggests we add lovely shimmer to a project with Pearled Paper as shown in this Merry Christmas Card.

And how about all the gorgeous Journey Sequins? Use just a few for a touch of sparkle or a whole bunch together to fill in a shape as was done for the ornament card below.

For more ideas and more Fun Stampers Journey supplies to add sparkle to your holiday click on the links below.

Hope your holiday shines!

Christmas Crafting with the Kiddos

The kiddos will be out of school soon for winter break and to help them enjoy their time off I have a simple ornament project idea you can re-create with them.

This ornament is super simple, oh so adorable and only requires a few basic supplies.

With some card stock and/or patterned paper cut two 3/4" by 6" strips and two more measuring 3/4" x 8 1/2". Once you have your paper strips cut, simply arrange them into a heart shape and use either some paste, a brad or staple to attach all the ends together. It's that easy!

If time and supplies permit, dress up your heart ornament a little as I did here. I added a snowflake die cut topped with a sequin, Sparkle Drop and a Cut Rhinestone.

Happy holiday crafting!

Back from Arizona

What an amazing couple of weeks I've had traveling to Fun Stampers Journey headquarters to help with CHA preparations! I can't wait to be able to share more about Richard Garay's new retail line being revealed next month at the show! Stay tuned....

For today and the next couple weeks I have lots of fun Christmas projects to share with you that you can use for last minute gifts, decor and crafty projects for the kids while they're on winter break.

In the house is this new steel rule Milk Carton die that makes an adorable gift box for small treats.

Ack! This little milk carton is so adorable and versatile! So many possibilities are running through my head!

This time I decorated it for the holidays with a little patterned paper from the Winter Fresh Prints pack, some Candy Apple Satin Ribbon and a few doo dads like the Mini Jingles, Star Frame and little star button.

Wouldn't these make adorable containers for an advent calendar? What would you do with this die?
