Embroidery Hoop Art

T.G.I.F! In case you didn't get a chance to check out my embroidery hoop art project on SEI Lifestyle last week, I'll share them here with you today. With a couple simple wood embroidery hoops, the May Cardmaking kit from SEI and a few butterfly dies, I was able to create this fun little decor set.

I love the combination of colors and patterns in this month's kit, how about you?

Today on the SEI blog I have another project using the May kit, a couple cards. Here's a peek at one.

Click here to hop over to SEI and see both cards.

Hope you have a great weekend and that it includes a little creative fun!

What's New Wedensday

Calling all Bella Blvd. fans! Today I have a couple greeting cards to share with you that I made with the new collections Classic Calendars, Scattered Sprinkles and Summer Squeeze along with a few  Lucky Starz papers thrown in for good measure.

This 'Happy Day' card can be used for any number of occasions...gotta love that! How did I make those cool stars you ask? I used a new Confetti Cuts die called Oh My Stars.

Next up...a pretty floral 'Crazy About You' card with lots of eye popping color.

This card should give someone a reason to smile, don't you think?

My Heart is With You

I hope you've had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend. I'm starting the week with a Reverse Confetti card share using the adorable Here We Go stamp set and Confetti Cuts.

I adore this little car! It's like a little Volkswagon bug beep beeping along! I added a bunch of heart shapes to go along with the sentiment. These pretty papers are from Bella Blvd's Kiss Me collection.

Well, it's a short week because of the holiday so I have my work cut out for me! Lots of fun projects to get to. I look forward to sharing them with you real soon!

Technique Tuesday and CardMaker Blog Hop

Welcome to the Technique Tuesday and CardMaker blog hop! If you are arriving here from Laura O'Donnell's blog you are right on track. For a full list of participants and hop details please start at CardMaker

Summertime is almost here and with it are lots of birthday celebrations so I used Technique Tuesday's Say It - Happy stamp set to create this fun and colorful birthday card.

Whimsical stamped birthday icons, colorful patterned paper and buttons make this a celebratory card, don't you think?

Often, during summertime, my husband like to escape North Carolina's heat and humidity by visiting our local art museum. This Wildflowers stamp from Technique Tuesday reminds me of the gorgeous field of wheat and iron tree in front of the museum which inspired my card.

I stamped this card twice, first with white ink, then a second time with black to give it a dimensional effect.

Next up on the hop is Daniela Dobson.

Granny Square Bag

Did you know you can easily crochet a purse with a simple granny square? Any size purse! It can be small enough to use as an apple cozy or as big as a market bag! To create this darling little bag I followed this YouTube tutorial, used a Clover 3.5mm hook and Cascade's Chartreuse Ultra Pima Cotton Yarn

I think it's so much cuter in person! I'm trying to get the swing of photographing my crochet projects.

I'm already working on my next project. Can you tell what this colorful strip is?

It's the beginning of a sampler blanket that's created with different colors and stitches for each row. I pinned the photo above a while back...thought it would be a cheerful and fun blanket to crochet one day. And guess what... here's a YouTube video tutorial that I found for my sampler blanket. Perhaps you would like to follow along? Or add it to your bucket list.

Congratulations

Hello! Today I have a couple congratulations cards to share with you created with SEI's May Cardmaking kit. These were posted on SEI Lifestyle last week and again here in case you missed seeing them. Tis the season for graduations and weddings so I created congrats cards for both occasions.

I love the combination of patterns and foiled details in these papers and the gorgeous flower brads included in this month's kit!

This congrats design could be used for a work promotion as well as a graduation card.

I created lots of die cut circles and then play with them until I liked the combination.

This week on SEI Lifestyle I have a fun and easy home decor project I created with this month's kit.

Here's a little peek for you. To see the entire project, click here.

Hello

Hello! I have a card share for you today that I created with both Chickaniddy's Date Night and Twirly Girl collections and this month's card sketch. This is the third sketch of Pam's that I've worked with and I must say she makes it so easy to create gorgeous cards just by following them as is.

Supplies: Paper (DN140S06; DN140S11; TG140S08) Clear Stamps (DN14ST01) Stickers (DN14EB02; TG14EB02) Brads (TG14EB06)

Can you tell which papers and accents are from which collection? If I hadn't made the card myself, I wouldn't be able to tell...everything works together seamlessly.
