Hello! I have a card to share with you on the CardMaker blog today, inspired by a lovely image from Pinterest.

Who makes this sweet collection? Why Pebbles, of course! It's part of their brand new Special Delivery collection that comes in both boy and girl colors.

Pinterest Inspired

What did we do before Pinterest?!?! Today on the Bella Blvd. blog a few of the designers used this  beautiful citrus colored image to inspire our projects.

Taking cue from the color scheme I created this card with a focus on Bella Blvd's lovely Crochet Hearts.

Reminds me of my rainbow sorbet which sounds good about now!

Focusing on the same colors, making green the more prominent color, I came up with this second card design.

What would you create with this image in mind? I'm tempted to make that lovely paper chain background! It's so fun! To see what my talented teammates created, click here.

Happy Birthday Jackie!

Today is Jackie's birthday, one of my sisters-in-law so I dug out one of my favorite Bella Blvd. collections, Birthday Girl and made her this card.

I included another of my loopy crochet flowers I showed you how to make in this post.

I hope you have a lovely birthday, Jackie! :)

In other exciting news...I received my box of Chickaniddy Crafts collections!

Wow! I'm impressed with the quality of the paper, the designs, the color schemes and I can't wait to start playing...and sharing! :)

Garden Party Birthday Card

This morning after browsing Pinterest I was in the mood to play with paper and Pebbles' new Garden Party collection seemed like the perfect line to do this with!

I love starting my mornings with coffee and Pinterest...it always puts me in a creative spirit! How about you...what inspires you to get your craft on?

Do you like this card design? Sometimes I can whip something up in no time at all and then other times I have to tinker with accents a lot before I'm happy with the outcome...this was one of those cards!

Do you see the micro mini buttons? There's one dotting the 'i' and another in the center of the turquoise sticker pinwheel. They're adorable, but if you don't look closely you will miss 'em! ;)

Project Life - Week Seven

This is the ultra easy version of Project Life! Just some pictures, journaling and a few accents...mostly alpha stickers! I'm lovin' it and sticking with it because it's so simple!

Week seven was all about celebrating Valentine's Day and another snow storm. My favorite photo of the week has to be Christopher's snow dude doing a face-plant! Poor guy!

Christopher had a mini-camp trip for the weekend which gave Dan and I a romantic Valentine's weekend together. I used some of Pebbles' Yours Truly collection for the occasion.

Since I don't think there can't be too many pictures of our favorite black and white stinker...

...here's another! Oreo thinks he's assisting me with my photo shoot! ;)

Hope you have a memorable weekend! :)

Oh Boy!

Have you seen the latest baby collection, Special Delivery, by Pebbles? It's absolutely adorable and I couldn't wait to dig in a make something to share with you!

I created this layered look using a nesting set of stars and clouds dies from My Favorite Things and a sentiment die from Papertrey Ink.

For those of you who are following my crochet adventures...here's a look at one of my latest projects...

...coasters! I created these with a free pattern from Tuts, a craft tutorial site I discovered on Pinterest. As a beginner of crochet, I found the pictorial tutorial easy enough to follow and I love them! So far Oreo kitty hasn't wrecked any...although he has knocked them to the floor on a couple occasions! ;)

Weird Weather

Just a few days ago we were snowed-in and I created this scrapbook page. Then yesterday it reached 70 degrees and I saw a young lady walking down our street with shorts on, a sleeveless shirt, sunglasses and sandals! It's hard to wrap your mind around that sort of thing...just days ago seeing the kids playing in the snow!

Christopher thoroughly enjoyed the snow! He threw snowballs, went sledding, made a snow plow with his dump truck and helped his dad clear the driveway and build a snowman. The next day it rained and the weather started to warm...not so good for the snowmen!

Here's how we found Christopher's snow-guy...doing a face plant with a cracked open head! Ouch! Our neighbors' snow people were not fairing well either! It was funny to see them all on our way to breakfast Saturday morning! Some of them were standing but missing their heads!

I created this Snow Adventures page with Bella Blvd's new Max collection for tween boys. Just a few snowflakes turned this line into the perfect snow themed collection. :)

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

At our house we take reducing, reusing and recycling pretty seriously and as a result, we haven't had to take our trash can to curb in over a year! Reducing the things we buy and use, composting and recycling have the biggest impact.

The other day I was about to throw away a graham cracker box when it occurred to me that the negative leaf cut on the front would make a cute card accent.

Since I've started crocheting, I'm also saving little bits of left over yarn to use for my cards like the bit I chain-stitched and tied to this chipboard tag. Because I use 100% cotton yarn, I plan to leave a bunch in a suet container for the birds this spring...

...which would make a cozy and colorful little nests, don't you think?

If you're interested in learning ways to reduce your trash, visit the Zero Waste Home blog.

In addition to my recycled items, my card was created with the adorable new Garden Party collection by Pebbles. And guess what? This line is 30% off at Scrapbook.com!

Well, I've got some projects I'm working on to share with you real soon so I better get to them!

Have a super day! :)
