Happy Halloween!

It's here! The day we've been decorating, crafting and buying lots of chocolate for! And at Bella Blvd. we're celebrating this spook-tacular day by sharing projects inspired by this Pinterest photo of licorice sticks made into magic wands.

For some reason the licorice reminded me of a spider webs...go figure? Can you make that leap? Well, I went with the idea and created this 'Today=Halloween' card with the Trick or Treat collection. I kept with the color scheme of the Pinterest photo, but tossed in a bit of gruesome green for good measure! ;)

Because the Pinterest photo and Halloween are all about candy, I added that cute little candy corn sticker! Sweet, huh?

For my 'Little Spooks' card I used white card stock in place of the plate, orange patterned paper for the candy pieces and a black die cut in the center for the licorice...wrapping it up with bakers twine and stickers.

The scattering of enamel dots represent the M&Ms in the inspiration photo. They're M&Ms right? Or maybe they're orange Skittles? Ohhh...or they could be Reese's Pieces? Ugh! All this talk about sweets is making me crave chocolate!

Hope you have sweet Halloween! :)

Frightful Friends

Dropping Christopher off at track-out camp this morning was pretty spooky...the kids were all dressed up in costume and excited about the activities planned for the day and candy that would be consumed! :)

I have a Halloween treat for you too...a card I created with Bella Blvd's spook-tacular Trick or Treat collection.

Have I mentioned how much I adore the 'Owlween' paper in this collection? All the funny and colorful owls from this paper crack me up! I've been cutting them out as accents for many of my Trick or Treat projects.

Hope you and the little ones are all enjoying the season. I plan to get outside with the camera for a walk...the trees in our own neighborhood are at their peak! :)

Christmas with Top Dog Dies

Last Friday was the two month mark before Christmas which means you'll be seeing more Christmas projects on my blog! I love creating cards, gifts and holiday decor items and it'll be a lot of fun to share them with you!

Top Dog Dies has a couple of beautiful ornament dies available for Christmas crafting and I have a couple project examples for you.

What do you think of this ornament die? Gorgeous details, ya? It's a seven piece set (TC023) that can be mixed and matched to create different looks. For my first card I used the main shape to create a negative cut ornament with a little tag.

The second card uses the ornament shape along with the detailed overlay, tag and ornament topper. Don't they look so pretty together? And I dressed up the card even further with a border die cut called Wesley (TC032).

Do you recognize the paper collections I used for these cards? The first one was created with Bella Blvd's Christmas Countdown line and the second was made with Doodlebug's Home for the Holidays collection.

Posting these holiday cards makes me want to grab a cup cocoa, put on some Christmas tunes and create more! :)

Have a great day!

Hello!

Hello, hello, hello! It's Monday. How about we start the week off with a dose of creativity? I have two cards to share that I made with the lovely Front Porch collection from Pebbles.

One of my favorite patterned papers in the Front Porch line is the conversation bubbles! For my first card I used it for my background and for the second card I fussy cut some of the bubbles for the focal point. What do you think? Like? I think Front Porch is such a fabulously fun and versatile collection!

Hope you have a great Monday! Thanks for spending a bit of it with me! :)

Love You the Mostest

In addition to fall activities and Halloween coming up in just a few short days...love is in the air! It's always there, right? Perhaps you're celebrating an anniversary or you just want to say "I love you the mostest!" Handmade cards like this are a fun way to express your love anytime.

I started making this card with an idea to pair up some of my favorite Bella Blvd. Designer Tapes and went from there adding a fun new Paper Pieces die cut from the Snapshots collection and dressed them up with some of my favorite Bella Blvd. accents...buttons, a crochet heart and mini flag. I love it! How about you?

I have a busy morning planned so I must run. I have to bring Latte, one of our big fluffy cats, to the vet for a teeth cleaning, drop Christopher off at track-out camp and then head to the grocery store. But I've scheduled some paper play time this afternoon so I can create some more projects to share on the blog with you!

T.G.I.F! :)

Fright Night and the State Fair

Eek! We're just days away from fright night when all the little spooks creep out of the woodwork and land on our doorsteps asking for candy! Are you ready? 'Cause ready or not...here they come! ;)

They'll be dressed up like these adorable Halloween Parade spooks from Doodlebug.

Isn't Halloween a scream? One of my favorite things about the season is the crafting. Hope you enjoyed my cards!

Another of my favorite fall activities is visiting the NC State Fair. Christopher just happens to be tracked out so we went yesterday.

Here we are looking at all the different fried foods available like Oreos and macaroni and cheese. It's mind blowing! These foods, if you can call them that, are already high in fat and/or sugar and calories, but let's not stop there, let's dip 'em in batter and deep fry them in oil too! Insane, isn't it? lol New at the fair this year is a hamburger with a Krispy Kreme doughnut for the bun! Sound good? Would  you try it?

Don't get me wrong, we splurged at the fair...we  had hot apple cider, roasted corn on the cob, skin-on french fries, pork sandwiches and ice cream.  And because we now have a cat named Oreo...we tried the fried Oreos. Guess what? I think I'll stick to the plain ones! They were alright, but not worth the extra calories. ;) I should mention, however, that Dan liked them more than I did! Go figure...the guy has never been a sweets person!

Well...back to the craft table today! Hope you have a lovely day! Thanks for stopping by! :)
