Spring Dreams and Giveaway Winner

Hello!

I'm already dreaming of spring and it's not even winter or Christmas yet! Oh boy! It's my favorite season and when I miss it, I like to create something that reminds me of why I enjoy it so much.

These lovely papers and accents are from Pebbles' Sunnyside collection. I'm crazy about the dimensional butterflies and mini wood clothespins!

So, what's your favorite season? I know a lot of you really like fall and wish it would continue on a little longer. Are there any of you who like winter best? Or summer? Have you ever dreamed that your favorite season lasted all year long? Sometimes I do, but I really would miss the changing seasons and the beauty of each one.

Before I close, I'd like to announce the winner for yesterday's all occasion card set giveaway. Congratulations Lin from the Sending Hugs blog!

I hope you all have a lovely holiday weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with my scrapbook page for the new write. click. scrapbook. monthly gallery.

Family Ties

Hello!

Have you heard about the new Family Ties collection from Pebbles? Ooh la la! I'm lovin' it...especially the Phrase and Journaling cards that make card making a piece of cake!

As a design team member I always enjoy showing people how to take a themed product and create something different with it. Not only is this collection perfect for all your family scrapbook memories, but for all occasion cards too! For more project ideas, visit the Pebbles blog. This week has been dedicated to the new Family Ties collection.

Which is your favorite card of the four? Tell me which one you like best and I'll draw a name from the comments and send one lucky winner the set. Winner will be announced on tomorrow's post.

Have a great day! :)

A Wee Christmas Ornament

Good day!

I'm popping in with a festive project post this morning before I go run some boring errands. I get to drop the car off for servicing, go to the post office and get a flu shot! Do I know how to have a good time or what!?!?! :)

At Doodlebug Design we were challenged to make Christmas ornaments using the adorable North Pole collection and here's my little creation.

A couple years ago I made a similar type of ornament using a Bazzill Basics chipboard base that was published in Simply Handmade.

Those chipboard shapes are no longer available so I made my own by cutting and gluing together two thin chipboard pieces and a piece of patterned paper.

I think I've mentioned a time or two that I'm smitten over the Mini Doodle Pop 3-D stickers. Aren't they cute?

I decorated the tree Mini Pop with a few Mini Pearls and I used a Cute Cut tag and some Doodle Twine for the hanger.

I really should have taken another picture of it on our tree. When we decorated over Thanksgiving weekend, I hung this little guy up and it looks adorable!

Do you make Christmas ornaments? If you would like to see more, hop over to the Doodlebug blog.

Have a super day and thanks for your visit!

A Little Love and Fabric Tape

Hi!

Love is in the air on my blog today! I felt like playing with some Love My Tapes fabric tape and die cuts last week and this is the result.

I used a piece of clear vellum to attach the fabric tape to before I ran it through the die cutter. You could also use card stock. I love, love, love my Papertrey Ink alphabet dies! I get a lot of use out of them.

I hope you like the card and have a wonderful  love-filled day!

North Pole Ornament

Hi!

Did you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving weekend? I didn't mean to go MIA the entire weekend, but it felt so good to take a break from blogging. I typically blog six days a week, everyday except Sunday. Instead I enjoyed being with my family, eating, decorating the house, listening to Christmas music, sipping hot chocolate and even cleaning out some closets and cupboards. It was perfect!

On Sunday I got to thinking about the ornaments I want to make for gifts this year. Silhouette has cut files for half off so I perused some and found this 3-D tree. What do you think?

The colorful, happy patterned papers and accents I  used are from Doodlebug's North Pole collection.

I think this little Mini Doodle Pop bird is too tweet!

My hanger is made from Christmas Doodle Twine.

My boys gave it two thumbs up so it's a go....the 2012 ornament.

I hope you have a good Monday. Christopher was really dragging his heels this morning. Poor kid!

Thanks for your visit!

A Little Doodlebug

Good day!

How was your weekend? Busy? Relaxing? A little of both? Can you believe it's Thanksgiving week? I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with my boys, cooking a heavenly feast and putting up the Christmas tree on Friday! So much to look forward to and be thankful for!

Today I have a little Christmas card share for you using Doodlebug Design's Santa's Workshop collection.

This line incorporates all the traditional colors of Christmas and Doodlebug's adorable style!

Okay, is it just me or does this little lady look like Cynthea Sandoval, owner of Doodlebug? Hmmm.... ;)

Well, I have quite a bit of work to squeeze into the next couple of days before the holiday so I best get to it! I hope you have a great Monday! Thanks for your visit!

Button Flowers

T.G.I.F!

I'm popping in super quick this morning to share a crafty card I made last week. I love stitching and flowers made with buttons and thought Bella Blvd's Button Market colors would make beautiful flowers.

What do you think? Simple, colorful and cheerful?

Hubs has taken the day off and we're on our way out to play. Actually, just some errands today that includes returning a couple things and rounding up some yummy cheeses and wine for tonight's fireside picnic. Christopher is ecstatic about his weekend camp getaway too! Dan and I have reservations tomorrow night at our favorite restaurant. It'll be a lovely weekend for all of us.

I hope you also have a terrific weekend! As always, thank you so much for spending a bit of time with me!

Cards on Thursday & Giveaway Winner

Happy Thursday!

Just one week away from Thanksgiving! I suppose I ought to get serious about preparations for our feast. Um....yea! ;) Although, I usually stick to the tried and true favorite recipes year after year so it shouldn't be too difficult to finalize. How about you? Are you ready? Will you be spending Thanksgiving away from home?

Well, Today is Cards on Thursday at Bella Blvd. Oh happy day! I love seeing what my teammates have created! I've mentioned that before, haven't I? ;) Well, they are the best! We are all using Unity/Bella Blvd. stamps for our cards today and with the big day just a week away, I opted for a 'Thankful' card.

I also thought I'd mix it up a bit and toss in a Designer Tape card. I used these lovely tapes for my stamped sentiments. I used Staz-On ink so it wouldn't smudge.

Looking at this card makes me crave cupcakes! :) Oh, I just had a thought.....I could bake my favorite Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Frosting from Ina Garten on Thanksgiving! Oh they are soooooooo goooooood!

Just look at that little piece of heaven!!! ;)

Okay, before I run, I have a winner to announce for the August issue of CARDS magazine. Thank you to all who visited yesterday and left comments! The winner is..........Leanne Allinson. Congratulations Leanne!

Hope you all have a great day! The weekend is just around the corner! ;)

Publication and Giveaway

Hello!

Last week I got the August issue of CARDS in the mail with my Sweet Summertime card in it photographed with slices of sweet and juicy watermelon on page 23. Ah...summertime memories! The dog days of summer seem so long ago already, don't they?

This card was a lot of fun to create! I adore the Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer collection I used to make it!

As you may know, Northridge Publishing gives two issues to designers who have a project(s) featured in their magazine and I'd like to give one of you my second copy. It's loaded with gorgeous cards from oodles of talented crafters.

If you would like to get your hands on it, just leave me a comment and I will randomly select a winner to announce on my post tomorrow.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you have a lovely day!
